Based on US Conec of MT Elite ferrule technology, high density and low insertion loss characteristic of the new MTP-16 connector to make it more suitable for structured cabling systems, also suitable for the new 8-channel QSFP+ optical modules and QSFP28 direct support 16X25Gbps applications.

US Conec 16-fiber MTP connector uses a line or 2-line design, with 12-pin connector of the same size, its series of products including the like ferrule connectors and adapters. In addition, the connector lock key technology uses a TIA 604-18 and IEC (61754-7-3) standard, different from the previous central lock key, to ensure that the 16-pin connector will not be confused with the standard MPO connectors.
