Monash University in Australia to build world's first use of Mellanox end-to-end 100G OpenStack Cloud

Infiniband and Ethernet switches and related chips, high speed module vendors Mellanox, today has announced the Monash University in Melbourne, Australia will be deployed include Spectrum SN2700 open Ethernet switches, ConnectX-4 NIC and LinkX Mellanox cables, including the CloudX platform, which will is the world's first 100Gbps end-to-end OpenStack clouds.

Monash University is known as R@CMon cloud network has been the face of continued demand for bandwidth and computing services. The network was originally based on cloud Mellanox's 56GbE SwitchX-2 and CloudX technology, this upgrade will be able to support R@CMon better support high-performance computing and high-capacity computing Monash University HTC applications.
