Optical module vendors Menara network has said its direct detection tunable DWDM 100G CFP optical module has achieved volume sales. Menara also introduced its 100G Wave Master wavelength adjusting and BER tester.

Menara's 100G CFP module supports full C-band tunable wavelength, support 100G Ethernet or OTU-4 signal, support 4X25Gbps and 4X28Gbps applications. Each wavelength can be achieved independent of wavelength tuning, cover the entire C-band wavelength spacing of 50GHz. Unlike coherent transmission, the module also uses a unique optical duobinary modulation format ODB. In addition, the module also features built-in PRBS signal generation can link detection, easy to deploy; consumes less than 24W; compatible with major router and MPLS switch. Menara said that they have successfully sold hundreds of such modules.

In addition, Menara's Wave Master is its CFP modules supporting products, its graphical interface supports independent adjustment of each channel wavelength, to achieve a comprehensive diagnostic CFP modules, and can achieve BER test.
